Sa isang gilid ng Venice, malapit sa plaza ng San Marco, ay makikitang nakahimpil ang mga asul na banca kung tawagin ng mga Italyano ay gondola. Sa matagal na panahon, ito ang pangunahing sasakyan ng mga nakatira sa Venice. Near Piazza San Marco in Venice, one can see dozens of wooden boats called gondolas parked near the shore. For centuries, these boats were the chief means of transportation for people living here. Today, tourists compete with local citizens to catch a ride along the Grand Canal.

Près de Piazza San Marco à Venise, un peut voir que les douzaines de bateaux en bois appelés des gondoles se sont garées près du rivage. Pendant des siècles, ces bateaux étaient les moyens de transport en chef pour des personnes vivant ici. Aujourd'hui, les touristes concurrencent les citoyens locaux pour attraper un tour le long du Canal Grand.
