On the right nave of the Manila Cathedral, this life-size sculpture of St. Peter can be found sitting at the entrance of the mortuary chapel. Quite similar to this statue by Giuseppe de Fabris, the figure looks into space in solemn meditation, holding the keys of Heaven entrusted to him. I was amazed by the sculptor's attention to detail --- you can even see stubs of hair beneath his chin, the furrows on his forehead, and the life-like veins in his right forearm. C'est magnifique!
