I Never Leave Home Without It

Mapa!

A map! I never leave home without it. Even in the Philippines, I always have a map with me. It is more difficult to find directions at home, because more often than not, streets either have old names, or worse, they have no names. If you ask for directions, a common response will be "there" or "somewhere here" and only God knows how that will help you. It is amusing, but yes, it is true: I often get lost at home than in any other place in the world. Other vital parts of me are a hat, for the unpredictable weather, and soft shoes, which makes walking a pleasure. As in life which is also a journey, having a good plan helps in reaching the destination. The photo above was taken in one obscure corner of the Louvre, in Paris.
